Child Rights

At the core of all our programmes and activities are the rights enshrined in the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child, the rights all children have to:

  1. Be born, to have a name and a nationally;
  2. Have a family that is caring and loving;
  3. Feel safe and be protected from violence, abuse and exploitation;
  4. Receive a quality education and develop her/his potential;
  5. Express an opinion and to be valued for his/her contributions;
  6. Be given opportunities for play and leisure;
  7. Have sufficient food and be healthy;
  8. Have adequate shelter and live in a peaceful community.

Our programmes in schools and communities throughout Indonesia are all designed to enable children, especially those vulnerable to exclusion and marginalisation, to claim their rights, as well as fulfil their obligations as citizens of the Republic of Indonesia.
