A Rights Based Approach to Education

All children have the right to quality education in an inclusive setting. This Right is ensured through the following legally binding documents that are also the basis for IDPN's work.

These approaches are internationally based on:

  • Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention (1999)
  • The Dakar Education for All Framework (2000)

  • The Hyogo Framework for Action (2005)
  • The Recommendations of the International Symposium on Inclusion and the Removal of Barriers to Learning, Participation and Development (2005)
  • Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2006)
